Quad bike rides in Clarens
On these quad bike rides just outside Clarens, you will be travelling on an adventurous, picturesque route following the foothills of the Rooiberge on the outskirts of Clarens. These tours are for the nature lover and not for those who would like to speed and do obstacles at a flying pace.
The quad bike tours take place in a Conservancy Area and a National Park close to Clarens.
Quad biking is ideal for families with smaller children, conferences and team building.

We have an obstacle course where you will be given instructions on how to handle your ATV on steep declines as well as sharp uphills.
Bring own drinks, except on the Sundowner tour.
All tours subject to a minimum of two bikes.
1,5 hours tour
(R350 per person per bike / R450 per bike if sharing)
As you are so close to nature your attention will be drawn to many indigenous plants as well as their value to the old pioneers who went through this area during 1837. You will also be informed on the different layers of sandstone formations as well as explanations given on Geology as far as possible. Places will be visited where the early Settlers (Voortrekkers) settled during 1837/8. You will also be shown the ruins of the early inhabitants who lived in this area about 1790/1820 until most of them have been murdered during the time of the Great Defiqane when both Tsjaka and Mizilikazi waged their empire wars in this area.
2 hour tour
(R440 per person per bike / R560 per bike if sharing)
Same as above but travel further into the mountains on a scenic winding trail to visit the Graveyard of the pioneers.
3 hour or Sundowner tour
(R560 per person per bike / R760 per bike if sharing)
Partially the above route but continue further. Enjoy a ride through our Fairy Forest or Garden Route with its Kgotla “Place of gathering”. Ascending Mount Ararat to admire the sunset with its commanding views over the Eastern Free State.
4 hour tour (R640 per person per bike / no sharing allowed)
On this trip the same as our one and two hour trails then veer of on an extended route with option to visit the Anglo Boer war Horse Hospital on the farm Ill Paradiso. On this trail you will be traveling on an adventurous, picturesque route following the foothills of the RooibergeAs you are so close to nature on this quad bike outing, your attention will be drawn to many indigenous plants as well as their value to the old pioneers who went through this area during 1837.
