CLARENS is in the finals for the best town in South Africa.

Please support Clarens : SMS the name Clarens to 33157 Competition ends 30th July at 12h00 Cost per SMS is R1, 50 Maximum amount of SMS allowed is 100 per cell phone number. Winner will be announced on 01st August in Rapport and Kwêla. A huge party will be held at the winning town on the 20th August. This will be arranged by Rapport and Kyknet / Kwêla

12-1pm: The Wykeham Collegiate Senior Wind Ensemble @ the square. Incorporating flutes, clarinets, saxophones, keyboard and percussion, this stellar group from one of the leading girls’ schools will entertain Clarens with Strauss Waltzes, selections from Fiddler on the Roof and many more popular pieces.

6:30pm: Wasserfal @ the square. This band moves easily between Afrikaans and English contemporary as well as alternative genres. Be prepared for catchy tunes and an amazing performance. Wasserfall has recently been touring with Eden and features regularly on MK.

5:30-8pm: Nianell (www.nianell.co.za) @ the square. Recently chosen to perform together with Andrea Boccelli at the Soccer World Final Concert, and also 2009 Female Vocalist of the Year, this spectacular artist will close off the Christmas in July festival with another exceptional performance.
